Soon after, Tesla left Edison and started his own company: Tesla Electric Light & Manufacturing. He had many inventions during his life, including a radio, a radio telescope, and a system for wireless power transmission. He died on January 7 January 1943 in New York City, leaving behind significant contributions to science and technology.
Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia. He studied physics and mathematics in Graz, Austria, and worked for the telephone company in Budapest. In 1882 he moved to Paris to work for the Continental Edison Company. In 1884 the year Tesla moved to New York, where he began working for Thomas Edison.
